Alaska USA Mortgage Company in the Community

Alaska USA Mortgage Company employees are your friends and neighbors, and are actively involved in their communities.

Anchorage Paint the Town

In June 2009, Alaska USA Mortgage Company adopted a home during Paint the Town, a local event sponsored through Neighborworks in Anchorage. NeighborWorks Anchorage is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable housing options, financial literacy, homeownership and home rehab and repair opportunities for all members of our community. Thirty-three homes were selected this year to participate in Paint the Town. Thirteen loan originators took the day off, and transformed a home with their hard work and creativity.

Homer family skate night

In February 2009, Alaska USA Federal Credit Union sponsored family skate night in Homer at the local ice skating rink. Karen Walls, our Homer Alaska USA Mortgage Company loan originator, participated both on and off the ice.

Kenai/Soldotna AUMC and Habitat for Humanity

Rhonda Johnson, Assistant Vice President, and her team of Kenai Peninsula mortgage professionals joined forces to help paint three homes in December 2008. "Promoting safe and decent, affordable housing for low-income families is a moral and economic imperative," says Johnson. "I am excited to be able to assist Habitat with its mission in a direct role." Habitat for Humanity Alaska currently supports several Habitat affiliate offices in Alaska. They have provided homeownership to dozens of first-time homebuyers in Alaska.
